Major Renovations Planned for Three Railway Stations in Warangal

Three major railway stations in Warangal are set to undergo a significant makeover. Kazipet, Jangaon, and Mahabubabad stations have been selected for modernization as part of the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme (ABSS), the government’s initiative to modernize railways. These stations, along with 18 others in Telangana, will be upgraded with new facilities and improvements.

Kazipet railway station, which handles a large number of passengers daily, will receive an estimated investment of Rs 24.45 crore. The station will have improved aesthetics, better lighting, upgraded parking space, and facilities for people with disabilities. A foot-over bridge will also be built to connect platforms.

Jangaon and Mahabubabad railway stations will also see improvements, with estimated costs of Rs 24.50 crore and Rs 39.72 crore respectively. The aim is to complete these renovations within two years.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone for the redevelopment of these stations, as well as 508 other Amrit Bharat Stations across the country, via Remote Video Link on Sunday at 9 am.
