Defected BRS MLA from Patancheru, Gudem Mahipal Reddy, met BRS chief and Leader of Opposition K. Chandrashekhar Rao in the Telangana Assembly on Wednesday. This meeting has sparked speculation about possible political changes.
Reddy had joined the Congress last year, but during the meeting, he invited Chandrashekhar Rao to a family wedding. Although the meeting was friendly and Rao asked about Reddy’s well-being, many believe Reddy might be considering a return to BRS. This speculation is growing because of increasing dissatisfaction with the Congress government.
Reddy has reportedly been unhappy with Congress leaders because his requests for constituency development were ignored. However, he has maintained that his meeting with Rao was only to invite him to the wedding.
Another MLA, Jare Adinarayana from Ashwaraopet, also met Rao. He described the meeting as a courtesy visit since he was returning to the Assembly after a year. Despite these meetings being downplayed, they have led to discussions about possible political shifts.
Rao’s presence in the Assembly also drew attention. Several Ministers and MLAs, including Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao, greeted him. Though these meetings are being described as routine, political speculation continues to grow.
