    Hyderabad:

Former minister Patnam Mahender Reddy has dismissed allegations made by BRS leaders KT Rama Rao, T Harish Rao, and P Sabita Indra Reddy that his farmhouse is illegal and located in a buffer zone. Speaking to reporters on Friday, Reddy firmly stated that his farmhouse follows all rules and regulations. He claimed that officials have already provided a report confirming its legality.

Reddy further challenged the BRS leaders to provide evidence if they believe his farmhouse is illegal. He expressed confidence in his position, saying, “If my farmhouse is illegal, I will demolish it myself. My farmhouse was built 20 years ago.” He invited the leaders to join him in demolishing it if they could prove otherwise.

The Congress leader also clarified that his farmhouse is not in a buffer zone or within Full Tank Level (FTL) limits. He explained that he followed the rules before building the farmhouse. He mentioned that GO 111, a government order concerning environmental regulations, is under the jurisdiction of the Supreme Court, not the State.

Reddy said that he has already conducted a survey of his farmhouse with authorities and has not received any notices about its legality. He also questioned the legality of KT Rama Rao’s farmhouse in Janwada, as well as the farmhouses of Sabita Indra Reddy and Srinivas Reddy, which are located next to each other. He emphasized that all these constructions were done with gram panchayat permission, and if such permission is invalid, it should apply to everyone equally.
