The Telangana Valmiki Association organized a ‘Shobha Yatra’ in Palamuru town to express gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for naming the new international airport in Ayodhya after Maharishi Valmiki. The event was attended by notable personalities such as BJP national vice-president DK Aruna and BJP’s Palamuru MLA candidate AP Mithun Reddy. Aruna praised Modi’s decision and emphasized its significance for the Valmiki community.

During the event, Aruna highlighted the uniqueness of Modi’s gesture and praised the government for resolving the issue of constructing the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. She also mentioned the upcoming ‘praana Pratishtha’ ceremony of Lord Ram and reiterated Modi’s call to celebrate it by lighting lamps and fireworks.

Aruna also brought attention to the challenges faced by the Valmiki and Boya communities in Telangana, particularly their demand for inclusion in the SC or ST categories. She pledged to advocate for their rightful categorization with the Indian government.

Prominent figures at the event included Jnanpith Sri Sri Sri Maha Mrityunjaya Panchamukha Anjaneya Swamy International Tattva Jnana Dharma Pracharya Maharshi Sri Ragothamacharya and Vishwa Hindu Parishad leaders Rachala Janardhan and Nalegisi Lakshminarayana Hanumanthu. Telangana Valmiki Sangha state president Kurumayya, advocate, and other key leaders were also present to support the cause.
