The Union cabinet will have a big meeting on Monday evening to make a final decision on changing the cabinet. Usually, only Cabinet rank ministers go to these meetings, but this time, even lower-ranking ministers have been invited.
This decision came after Prime Minister Modi met with party president J P Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday night. They will discuss the strategy for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chattisgarh.
There is speculation that some ministers will be asked to work for the party, while new people will be brought into the cabinet. After the BJP formed a government in Maharashtra, they promised to include some members in the cabinet. There may also be changes in the Telangana state unit and the addition of Malayalam superstar Suresh Gopi.
