Life in Hyderabad disrupted due to heavy rainfall

The Department of Meteorology in Hyderabad has issued alerts due to the Southwest Monsoon and low pressure in the Bay of Bengal. A red alert has been issued for four districts in Telangana, while 14 districts have been given an orange alert and 10 districts a yellow alert. Coastal Rayalaseema in Andhra Pradesh is also expected to experience heavy rainfall.

The heavy rain in Hyderabad has caused disruptions to daily life, with low-lying areas already flooding. The government has advised people to only go out if necessary, as the situation is expected to worsen in the next few hours. The water level in Hussain Sagar is high, with excess water being released through the nozzle.
