A leopard cub was spotted in a chilli farm in Repallevada village, Enkoor Mandal, Khammam district. This sighting caused excitement and concern among the local villagers.
A farm worker noticed the cub on Thursday while working in the fields owned by a farmer named Venigalla Srihari. The worker quickly took a short video of the cub and informed the forest department.
District Forest Range Officer (DRO) Srinivas Rao and his team arrived at the farm to investigate. They looked for paw prints and other evidence to confirm that the cub had been there.
The officials have warned the villagers to stay alert and avoid going into the fields alone, especially during early mornings and evenings, to stay safe.
