A meeting of the BRS Legislature Party will be held at Telangana Bhavan on Saturday at 9 am. The newly elected party MLAs have been asked to attend the meeting. They will have breakfast before proceeding to the Assembly for the oath taking ceremony. In the recent elections, the party won 39 seats and will now be in the opposition. At the meeting, the MLAs will be addressed by the BRS working president KT Rama Rao.
The party has not yet decided who will be the leader of the opposition. Sources say that they will request BRS supremo K Chandrashekar Rao to take on this role. However, the decision may be delayed as K Chandrashekar Rao has suffered an injury and had to undergo hip replacement surgery. He will be out of public life for the next eight weeks.
