Participants were encouraged to use the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) toll-free number, 15100, for quick access to free legal assistance. They were also informed about the option to apply for legal aid online, making the process more accessible.

During the seminar, V. Rajani discussed laws that protect women, including the Domestic Violence Act, which addresses various forms of abuse such as psychological, physical, and economic. Victims were advised to approach the court for mediation when necessary. Additionally, Rajani highlighted the Dowry Prohibition Act and stressed the importance of preventing minors from driving, marrying, or engaging in labor, noting the societal problems that arise from such violations.

Rajani also emphasized the role of youth in building a better society and urged students to enhance their legal knowledge while continuing their studies. Furthermore, he encouraged eligible individuals to benefit from the free legal services provided through Lok Adalat.

Sakhi Legal Council Vice President Degala Krishnaiah addressed the gathering, focusing on women’s legal rights. He also reminded attendees that employing children under the age of 14 is illegal and that strict actions would be taken against violators of this law.

The school principal, Guruvayya Goud, spoke about educational rights, while the seminar also inaugurated a legal services clinic at the school. Key contributors to the event included panel lawyer D. Krishnaiah, para-legal volunteer Rajender Kumar, teacher Pawan Kumar, and students Rakesh and Bharat, who actively participated in the proceedings.

The seminar was attended by teachers, students, and community members who showed enthusiasm in learning about initiatives such as the Child Friendly Legal Service for Children Scheme 2024. This initiative aims to empower communities by increasing awareness of legal rights and ensuring access to legal resources.

This event marks a significant step in promoting legal knowledge and fostering a sense of empowerment among the people of Wanaparthy district.
