Learning Journey: IAS trainee Collectors in Jogulamba Gadwal district

A group of IAS Trainee Collectors from the 2023 batch recently visited Jogulamba Gadwal district as part of the Telangana Darshan program. The team included trainees from various districts in Telangana.

Their journey began with a visit to the Jogulamba Ammavari temple, a significant cultural and religious site in the district. The temple visit helped the trainees learn about the local heritage and spiritual practices.

After the temple visit, the trainee collectors met with District Collector B. M. Santosh at his office. The Collector briefed them about the district’s development and welfare programs, giving them a better understanding of administrative efforts and challenges.

The trainees then visited Raghavendra Colony, a center for handloom workers and textile manufacturing. They observed the working conditions and processes involved in making clothes, interacting with handloom workers to learn about their craft and traditional methods. They also visited a local handloom shop to see the final products.

Throughout the program, Assistant Director of Handlooms Department Govindaiah, Tehsildar Venkateshwarlu, and other officers provided additional insights and answered questions for the trainees.

The visit to Jogulamba Gadwal district was a valuable experience for the IAS Trainee Collectors, giving them cultural immersion and practical knowledge about district administration and local industries. This journey prepared them for their future roles as administrators committed to serving the nation.
