L-G of Delhi Rejects Spending INR 15 Crore on His Official Residence

Delhi Lt Governor VK Saxena said that people can come and see if any renovation has been done at his home, Raj Niwas. He made this comment after the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) claimed that Rs 15 crore was spent on repairs at Saxena’s official mansion. The AAP also accused the BJP-led Delhi government of spending Rs 45 crore on renovating Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home during the Covid pandemic. Reports of “gross irregularities” in the Public Works Department’s refurbishment were also noted. The money was invested between September 2020 and June 2022.

VK Saxena said that he has asked for a report on the CM’s residence’s refurbishment within 15 days. He also welcomed the media to visit and see his home’s dimensions and renovations.
