Hyderabad: Former Telangana Minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) has strongly criticised the current state government. He accused them of moving away from democratic values and questioned their decision to allocate 400 acres of land.
KTR said that during his time in office, Hyderabad had earned the Green City Award for its efforts in environmental protection. He mentioned how millions of trees were planted as part of a green initiative. However, he now believes that democracy is only being used as a label, and that the true democratic spirit is missing.
He warned those who have taken control of the 400-acre land, stating that once his party returns to power, they will reclaim it. He promised that the land would be used to build the largest eco-park in the region.
KTR also criticised the way public property is being handled. He questioned why the government is secretly giving away land if it truly belongs to the public. His comments have sparked further political debate about land use and environmental policy in Telangana.
