Hyderabad’s Municipal Administration Minister, KT Rama Rao, inaugurated the Stellantis Digital Hub in the city on Wednesday. Stellantis is a leading automaker and mobility provider, known for its iconic brands such as Jeep, Citroen, and Maserati. The company has a diverse community with operations in over 30 countries and customers in more than 130 markets. Stellantis has been present in Hyderabad since 2020, initially collaborating with Wipro and now operating independently at their new office space.
The Stellantis Digital Hub in Hyderabad spans 75,000 square feet and follows a hybrid work model that combines remote and in-office work. It can accommodate over 700 workstations and fosters a collaborative work environment. The hub will provide comprehensive capabilities in product development, IT services, and software technologies.
During the inauguration ceremony, Minister KT Rama Rao highlighted the thriving automotive ecosystem in Hyderabad. The city is home to marquee companies like ZF, Bosch, and Fisker, with over 100,000 employees working in the mobility space. Technological giants like Qualcomm, Micron, Intel, and Microsoft have also strengthened their presence in Hyderabad’s mobility sector.
The Minister expressed gratitude to Stellantis for their contribution to the conceptualization of the Telangana Mobility Valley (TMV). The ground breaking ceremony for TMV will take place next month. He praised Mamatha Chamarthi, Head of Software Business and Product Management at Stellantis, for her role in anchoring the project and expressed confidence in her leadership.
Stellantis Chief Software Officer Yves Bonnefont expressed excitement about expanding their presence in India. The new software office in Hyderabad follows the opening of a software hub in Bengaluru last year. Bonnefont emphasized the importance of the region’s talent in building their global tech platforms. Stellantis has also collaborated with institutions like IIIT Hyderabad, T-Hub, and various startups and colleges in the state to promote innovation and talent development.
The current headcount at the Stellantis Digital Hub is 770+ employees, and it is projected to reach over 1,850 professionals within the next three years.
