Rama Rao criticized the State government, stating that even the Chief Minister was disrespecting women in the Assembly. He claimed that the police were behaving similarly, using lathis to assault women, which he said was unacceptable. The police, who are supposed to protect women, were instead attacking them, he added.

KTR questioned if this was the kind of rule that the Congress had promised. He asked why there was such cruelty towards a Dalit woman and how they could use severe measures to force her to admit to theft. He was deeply dismayed by the situation in Telangana and said the government should be ashamed of the police’s inhumane actions.

He criticized the officers involved for mistreating the woman by making her wear knickers and kicking her with boots. KTR highlighted the adverse conditions faced by the woman and her son, emphasizing the need for immediate action against the brutality.
