KTR challenges Telangana Congress leaders to examine electricity supply in Karnataka

Hyderabad: BRS working president and Minister KT Rama Rao has challenged the Telangana Congress leaders to visit Karnataka State and see if there is 24-hour power supply to all segments. KT Rama Rao said, “I am asking the Telangana Congress leaders to accept my challenge. We can all go to Karnataka together in the same bus and see if there is power supply like that in Telangana or not.”

KT Rama Rao made these comments while addressing the ‘Meet the Press’ event at Basheerbagh Press Club. He mentioned that people in Karnataka were regretting voting for the Congress government, and some people from Karnataka were even coming to Telangana to appeal to the voters not to make the same mistake in the upcoming Assembly polls.

Highlighting the progress made by Telangana under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, KT Rama Rao stated that Telangana has become a role model for other states in the country.

When asked about BJP leader Amit Shah’s announcement of making a backward class (BC) leader as Chief Minister of Telangana after the Assembly polls, KT Rama Rao criticized the BJP for not having genuine affection towards BCs. He pointed out that if the BJP truly cared about BCs, they would not have replaced Telangana State unit president Bandi Sanjay, who belongs to the backward class.

KT Rama Rao also mentioned that the BRS party has been demanding a separate portfolio for OBCs at the Centre for the last 20 years, but neither Congress nor BJP governments have taken any action for the OBCs. The BRS government had passed a resolution in the Assembly demanding the establishment of an OBC ministry.
