Sircilla: BRS working president KT Rama Rao said that Congress Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy could follow in the footsteps of Eknath Shinde, who rebelled against Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray to become Maharashtra CM. Speaking at a BRS workers meeting in Mustabad, he mentioned that it is likely Revanth Reddy will join the BJP after the Parliament elections.
Rama Rao questioned whether the Congress Chief Minister wants Modi’s cooperation in the future and expressed doubt that Rahul Gandhi would become the Prime Minister. He highlighted how Congress leaders, including Revanth Reddy, had demanded free Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) during the previous BRS government but later required the public to pay for LRS under the Congress government.
The BRS planned protests across the State on Wednesday to urge the Congress government to fulfill its promise of providing LRS free of cost. The BRS leader noted that people in Telangana have lost trust in the Congress government due to various issues such as power supply disruptions, water shortages, delayed Rythu Bandhu payments, unfulfilled promises of pensions and loan waivers, and difficulties faced by women due to lack of free travel facility in RTC buses.
