KTR accuses Congress of claiming credit for BRS initiatives

Hyderabad: BRS Working President K T Rama Rao criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s announcement of government job appointments, comparing it to an illegitimate birth.

KTR pointed out that in the three months since the Congress government took office, no notifications for government job appointments have been issued. He accused Revanth Reddy of taking credit for more than 25,000 jobs secured by candidates during the previous BRS government. Speaking at a BRS workers’ meeting, KTR called on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to feel ashamed for announcing government job appointments without specifying when notifications were issued and exams were conducted. He also noted that the Chief Minister was trying to claim credit for infrastructure projects completed by the previous BRS government.

Expressing surprise at Revanth Reddy’s prediction of drought in the state, KTR questioned the Chief Minister’s political acumen. Despite Telangana experiencing 14% excess rainfall last year, KTR believed Revanth Reddy’s statement about no rain and an upcoming drought was politically motivated. He accused the Congress of looking for excuses to deny water to farmers, suggesting that any drought would be artificially induced by the Congress.

At the same time, KTR wrote an open letter to the Chief Minister, urging the government to implement the Layout Regularization Scheme (LRS) without charging fees. He reminded Revanth Reddy and the Congress of their earlier demands to waive fees under the LRS scheme and regularize land for free.

KTR called on the government to keep its promise to the public by launching the free LRS scheme, which would benefit 25.44 lakh families.
