Krishna Sagar Rao criticizes Rahul Gandhi for remarks about Mohan Bhagwat

K. Krishna Sagar Rao, the Chief Spokesperson for the BJP in Telangana, has strongly criticized Rahul Gandhi’s recent speech at the inauguration of the Congress party’s new headquarters. Rao called Gandhi’s remarks insincere and confusing, specifically targeting his comments about RSS Sarsanghachalak Mohan Bhagwat. He described these remarks as both ignorant and malicious.

Rao highlighted the importance of understanding the true meaning of freedom, particularly in the context of India’s history of fighting against foreign oppression. He argued that freedom is not just about gaining political power to contest elections and govern—a practice the Congress party has been involved in for over 55 years.

“The essence of true freedom lies in a nation’s ability to reclaim and preserve its cultural, religious, and spiritual identity. Dr. Mohan Bhagwat’s statement must be understood in this light,” Rao explained.

He also criticized the Congress party for what he described as a disconnect with India’s cultural, religious, and spiritual heritage. According to Rao, this disconnect is unfortunate for a democracy as large as India. He expressed concern that the Congress party, during its decades of governance, failed to align itself with the values of the nation’s indigenous civilization.

Rao concluded his criticism by stating, “It is shameful that a party which has governed this country for over fifty years continues to show such ignorance. This lack of focus on nation-building has been evident throughout Congress rule.”
