Minister for Roads and Buildings Komatireddy Venkat Reddy claimed that Telangana didn’t get enough rain last year because of actions by former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao. He made these comments while speaking to the media in Tukkuguda, Hyderabad. The Minister also criticized the BRS party, saying it collapsed quickly after losing power, which is unusual for a regional party.
According to Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, the BRS party is dominated by a single family and lacks real leadership. He expressed confidence that the Congress candidate Danam Nagender would win the Secunderabad Lok Sabha seat by a large margin. The Minister also criticized Union Minister G Kishan Reddy for not doing enough for the development of the Lok Sabha segment during his time in office.
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy highlighted the Musi Riverfront project undertaken by the Congress government, contrasting it with former chief minister KCR’s focus on a cable bridge in Hyderabad. He accused BJP Telangana president G Kishan Reddy of trying to use religious conflicts to win the Lok Sabha elections, but expressed confidence that the Congress would win 14 seats in the polls.
