Hyderabad: Students from Kakatiya Medical College (KMC) showed remarkable kindness and quick thinking by saving the life of a pregnant cow in distress.
The cow, which had come to graze on the KMC premises, suddenly collapsed and began crying out in pain. A group of second-year medical students noticed the situation and decided to help. They quickly contacted a veterinary expert through a video call to get guidance on what to do.
Under the vet’s instructions, the students performed a difficult and life-saving delivery. Thanks to their efforts, both the cow and its calf survived the ordeal. The veterinary expert later confirmed that the cow was stable, and the animal received additional care to ensure its recovery.
The farmer who owned the cow was deeply grateful to the students for their timely and selfless actions. He praised their dedication and expressed his heartfelt thanks for saving the cow’s life.
This rare and extraordinary incident highlighted the adaptability and compassion of the KMC students. The students involved in the rescue were Udayakiran, Swaroop, Mohandeep, Shanmukh, Navneet, and Hemant Madhukar. The KMC security staff also played an important role by providing support during the rescue operation.
