Union Minister Kishan Reddy Congratulates Balakrishna on Padma Bhushan Award
Union Minister of Mines and Coal, Kishan Reddy, recently visited the residence of actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna in Hyderabad. He met Balakrishna to personally congratulate him on being honored with the prestigious Padma Bhushan award. During the meeting, Reddy praised Balakrishna for his outstanding contributions to Indian cinema and his significant role in politics.
Balakrishna was visibly delighted and expressed his gratitude for the recognition. He thanked the central government for bestowing the honor upon him. “I am extremely happy to receive the Padma Bhushan, and I express my sincere gratitude to the central government for this prestigious award,” said Balakrishna.
In addition to celebrating his own achievement, Balakrishna took the opportunity to raise a heartfelt request. He expressed his long-standing desire for his father, the legendary Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), to be awarded the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honor. “I continue to request the government to bestow the Bharat Ratna upon NTR, who made an unparalleled contribution to Indian cinema and the people of Andhra Pradesh,” he said.
The meeting between Kishan Reddy and Balakrishna was marked by mutual respect and admiration. Both leaders emphasized their shared commitment to promoting the cultural and political development of the state.
