Kishan Reddy states that the Centre is working towards job creation

Union Minister G Kishan Reddy has announced that the Indian government is working to create job opportunities for the unemployed youth in the country. They are focusing on skill development programs and employment generation in both public and private sectors. Reddy attended the Rozgar Mela, where he issued appointment letters to 470 people who got jobs in various departments, including nationalised banks, DRDO, Indian Railways, Defence, Health and Family Welfare, and University of Hyderabad.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has instructed officials to identify all department vacancies, which resulted in identifying 10 lakh vacant posts. Reddy mentioned that it is not possible to recruit all at once, so the PM is filling up 70,000 vacancies every month. The Rozgar Mela aims to fill up some of the posts. The PM himself is talking to the new employees.

The ‘Rozgar Mela’ was inaugurated by the PM as a Diwali gift to the youth of the country on October 22, 2022. As of today, more than 4,30,000 youth have received appointment letters. Reddy mentioned that this is the first time since Independence that such a large number of jobs have been filled simultaneously. India has the highest youth population globally, and Reddy believes that their intelligence will make India rule the world in the future.

The Central government is working towards providing employment opportunities for the youth. They are nurturing their industrial talent through initiatives like Start-up India and Stand-up India. The minister believes that India will become the number one country in the world by the year 2047, which marks 100 years of Independence.

Reddy mentioned that India has emerged as the fifth-largest economy globally. He credited the Modi government’s ‘Make in India’ program for creating a conducive environment for investment in India. The country’s total commercial exports stood at $418 billion in 2021-22, with trade exports of nearly $35 billion per month and services exports of more than $250 billion. India has 150 airports, moving towards 225 by 2025.

Finally, Reddy urged the new employees to work for the country with dedication and not forget their parents.
