Kishan Reddy accuses ruling parties in AP and TS of staging drama on polling day in Hyderabad

State BJP chief G Kishan Reddy criticized the AP government’s rushed decision to draw drinking water from Nagarjunasagar dam. He believes it was a political move by both ruling parties in AP and Telangana on the day of the elections. Reddy added that such unilateral actions without permission from the Krishna River Management Board can lead to law and order problems.

Reddy mentioned that while he supports the release of drinking water, the AP government’s highhanded approach is not acceptable. He emphasized the importance of following laws and stated that the KRMB was established under the law. Reddy also mentioned that the Centre had proposed bringing the Krishna dams under the KRMB with the help of Central forces, but Telangana had refused. He plans to write to the Centre regarding this incident.
