State BJP chief and Union Minister of Culture and Tourism, G Kishan Reddy, called on party members to prepare for a protest against the ruling government. The protest, called Maha Dharna, will take place in Hyderabad on September 4. Reddy addressed party members at a protest organized at Dharna Chowk on Saturday and emphasized the need to intensify the party’s agitation against the ruling dispensation’s failure to provide double-bedroom houses for the poor.

Reddy alleged that the state of Telangana is under the control of the Kalvakuntla family and accused Chief Minister KCR of exploiting the state and pushing it into debt. He also claimed that cases were being filed against those who question the ruling party leaders. Reddy criticized KCR for not fulfilling his promise of providing houses to the poor and called for a double engine government in Telangana.

Rajender also accused KCR of taking away assigned lands from the poor.

In addition, Rajender demanded that the state government postpone the upcoming Group-II examinations. Nizamabad BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind supported Rajender and criticized KCR’s rule, claiming that problems have increased under his leadership. Aravind also accused KCR of failing to fulfill his promises, including providing houses and financial assistance to the family members of Telangana State martyrs.
