    Senior BRS leader and Rajya Sabha MP K Keshava Rao announced that he is leaving the BRS party to rejoin his home party, Congress. He described this move as a ‘Ghar Wapsi’ or a return to his roots.

    Keshava Rao explained that he initially joined the BRS to help rebuild Telangana but now feels the need to go back to Congress. He highlighted the history of Congress’s role in the formation of Telangana through an Act and a bill passed by the party. He also mentioned his son’s influence in his decision to join BRS.

    Reflecting on past events, Keshava Rao mentioned KCR’s unfulfilled promise to merge his party with Congress. He expressed his belief that democracy is currently facing challenges and emphasized the need to return to his original party.

    The veteran leader, who is 85 years old, clarified that he has no personal ambitions and sees this move as a return home. He mentioned that his daughter will also be joining Congress and that his decision to rejoin will depend on the party’s strategy.

    Keshava Rao informed that he has informed KCR about his decision to leave BRS. He discussed various topics during their meeting, including Kavitha’s arrest and the political landscape. He also stressed the importance of opposition parties uniting against formidable forces like the BJP.

    The BRS leader announced his resignation from the Rajya Sabha post and responded to KT Rama Rao’s offer of a position by highlighting his extensive experience in various roles. He encouraged party members who are departing to remain loyal to the party they have served and acknowledged the talent within the party while pointing out a disconnect with the people.
