Kejriwal embraces CBI investigation into new bungalow construction

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has responded to the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI) preliminary inquiry into alleged irregularities in the construction of his bungalow. Kejriwal welcomed the inquiry, stating that there is nothing wrong and nothing will come out of it. He also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of being nervous and claimed that this action showed his nervousness.

The CBI has registered a preliminary enquiry to investigate alleged irregularities and misconduct by unidentified public servants of the Delhi government in connection with the construction of Kejriwal’s new official residence.

Kejriwal addressed reporters, stating that this inquiry is not new to him. He mentioned that he has faced inquiries in more than 50 cases in the past eight years, including allegations of scams in building schools, bus services, liquor, roads, water, and electricity. He welcomed the new inquiry and expressed confidence that nothing will be found, as there is nothing wrong.

During a press conference, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari discussed the CBI probe and its relation to the tendering process for Kejriwal’s residence.

Kejriwal criticized the prime minister, calling him a “fourth pass king” who only engages in inquiries and speeches without doing any work. He stated that he will not bow down to false inquiries or cases, challenging the prime minister to resign if nothing is found in this inquiry as well.
