KCR's nephew's anticipatory bail petition dismissed by HC

In Hyderabad, Justice G. Radha Rani of the Telangana High Court rejected a criminal petition filed by Kalvakuntla Kanna Rao, the nephew of former CM K Chandrashekar Rao. The petition was seeking anticipatory bail in a case related to land grabbing. Rao had previously filed a petition to quash the FIR in the same case, but it was also dismissed.

Rao is listed as A 4 in the FIR, which was filed by the Adibatla police based on a complaint by Bandoju Srinivas, director of OSR Projects. The complaint accused Rao and his associates of attempting to murder and encroaching on land in Adibatla.

Bandi Sanjay Kumar, an MP and BJP national general secretary, along with five others, filed petitions to quash two FIRs registered against them in the Chengicherla incident. The FIRs were related to charges including obstruction of police duty and causing injuries during a visit to console ST community members who were attacked by Rohingyas.

Former Addl. SP Sivananda Reddy and his family members filed petitions in the Telangana High Court regarding allegations of encroaching on government land and selling it in Budvel. They sought protection from coercive action by the CCS Police and requested a chance to respond to police queries. The court directed the police not to take any coercive steps until further instructions were received.
