KCR to skip State Formation Day celebration

Former chief minister and Telangana movement leader K Chandrashekar Rao will not attend the State Formation Day celebrations. In an open letter to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KCR stated that he and his BRS party will not be participating in the celebrations organized by the State government.

KCR expressed his protest against what he sees as Congress tendencies that insult the existence of Telangana. He emphasized the long struggle and sacrifices that led to the formation of the State, and criticized the Congress party for what he perceives as a lack of respect for these efforts.

He highlighted the significance of the Gun Park Martyrs Memorial, which stands as a reminder of the repression faced during the Telangana movement. KCR accused the Congress party of being responsible for the loss of lives during this period and asserted that the formation of the TRS party was an attempt to correct past injustices.

KCR also criticized CM Revanth Reddy for what he sees as a lack of support for Telangana, pointing out the absence of the slogan ‘Jai Telangana’ in his statements. He called for a change in attitude from the CM and urged him to embrace and support Telangana fully.

In conclusion, KCR stated that his party would not participate in the government’s celebrations due to concerns about the direction in which the State is heading. He expressed hope for a more positive and supportive approach from the CM in the future.
