Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao honored Mahatma Gandhi on his 154th birth anniversary today. KCR acknowledged Gandhi’s immense contributions and sacrifices in achieving India’s independence from British rule and in nation-building.
The Chief Minister emphasized that Gandhi’s teachings, inspiration, achievements, and action plans, characterized by the motto “Satyameva Jayate,” are deeply ingrained in the progress and development of Telangana. He highlighted how rural Telangana exemplifies Gandhi’s vision of “Gram Swarajya” by prioritizing irrigation, agriculture, and the rural economy. Additionally, KCR mentioned the implementation of Aasara pensions, which have brought happiness to senior citizens.
According to the CM, the most fitting tribute to Gandhi is to adopt his principles and activities as a way of life and continue advancing with self-restraint and observance.
