KCR blames Modi for the delay in Krishna water sharing between AP & Telangana

BRS Supremo and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao brought up the issue of sharing Krishna river water between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of neglecting to resolve this issue for the past 10 years.

The Chief Minister stated that they do not want to use Andhra Pradesh’s share of the river Krishna. They want their own share to undertake projects and meet the drinking and irrigation needs in Telangana. KCR criticized Congress, BJP, and TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu for the delay in completing projects in the Telangana region.

KCR held these three parties responsible for the backwardness of the Palamuru district until the formation of Telangana State. He also criticized the opposition parties for creating obstacles in the completion of the Palamuru Lift Irrigation scheme by filing complaints against the project. KCR urged people to question the opposition leaders and not be swayed by their promises during the election season.

The Chief Minister expressed disappointment with Telangana BJP leaders for not questioning the central government about the delay in water sharing. Instead, they targeted the Telangana government. He mentioned that the government withdrew its petition in the Supreme Court based on the center’s advice. The Union government showed indifference towards addressing the water sharing issue.
