K Chandrashekar Rao, the president of BRS, accused national parties of teaming up to eliminate regional parties. He warned that voting for either ‘Chhote Bhai Revanth Reddy’ or ‘Bade Bhai Narendra Modi’ would lead to agricultural pumpsets in the State being monitored closely. Speaking at a roadshow in Mahabubnagar, Rao criticized the BJP’s slogans and programs, emphasizing that the real battle was between BRS and BJP. He claimed that even voting for Congress would indirectly benefit BJP, as the CM would implement power reforms if Congress were to win.
Rao urged people to consider what the BJP had accomplished for the country, questioning the effectiveness of slogans such as ‘Beti Bachao Beti Padhao’, ‘Make In India’, and ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas’. He also criticized the BJP’s handling of issues like the falling rupee value against the dollar. Rao warned that a BJP victory would not be favorable for Telangana and encouraged youth to support candidates who truly work for their interests.
The BRS leader condemned Congress for failing to fulfill its promises, highlighting issues like delayed fee reimbursements for students, food poisoning in hostels, and the discontinuation of Ambedkar Overseas scholarships. He expressed uncertainty about the future of Rythu Bandhu scheme and vowed to continue fighting against any threats to Telangana’s well-being. Rao also criticized DK Aruna, a BJP leader, for welcoming an Andhra minister who was diverting water from Telangana in the past.
