Kavitha from Kalavakuntla sends representative and letter to ED, skips inquiry

BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha has made headlines recently as she skipped appearing before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) and instead sent her representative with the documents sought by the probe agency. Kavitha stated that since the ED notice did not specifically mention that she should appear in person, she was sending her representative.

She also emphasized that the ED should wait for the Supreme Court’s verdict before proceeding with the probe. Kavitha has sent a letter to the Enforcement Directorate with her representative Bharat, asking the investigative agency to hold off until the honorable Supreme Court delivers its verdict in the writ petition filed by her. In her petition, Kavitha seeks to give directions to the ED to probe her at her residence citing that she is a woman.

Kavitha further added that she had already handed over all the documents during the inquiry held on March 11 and will fully cooperate with the agency. She clarified that no confrontation with other accused happened during the March 11 inquiry.

The case has been surrounded by high drama, and Kavitha’s decision to send a representative instead of appearing in person has raised many eyebrows. However, Kavitha has maintained that she is willing to cooperate with the investigation and hopes that the Supreme Court’s verdict will clarify the matter.
