Karre Sanjeeva Reddy Appointed as Peddapalli BJP President
The BJP high command has appointed Karre Sanjeeva Reddy as the district president of the Peddapalli BJP. Sanjeeva Reddy is a resident of Kolanuru village in Odela mandal, located in the Peddapalli district.
Sanjeeva Reddy has been associated with politics for several decades. He began his journey as an activist with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in 1988 and joined the BJP in 1990. Over the years, he held various leadership roles, including serving as the village vice-president and the mandal vice-president for two terms between 1992 and 2001. From 2001 to 2008, he worked as the mandal president. Additionally, he contested for the Odela ZPTC seat in 2001 and 2014 but was defeated. Since 2015, he has been serving as the Peddapalli district general secretary.
Throughout his political career, Sanjeeva Reddy has faced challenges. He has been involved in party-led movements, which resulted in four police cases being registered against him. He also participated in the Sri Rama Janmabhoomi Udayamam movement in Uttar Pradesh, where he was imprisoned for 15 days in Prayagraj jail. Despite threats from Naxal groups, which had influence in the region for 15 years, he stood firm and continued working for the BJP.
Sanjeeva Reddy’s contributions include hoisting the national flag in Jammu and Kashmir and helping the party secure victory for its Sarpanch candidate twice. His dedication and commitment to the party have now earned him the position of Peddapalli BJP district president.
