Junior doctors in Hyderabad to proceed with planned strike

The Junior Doctors Association (JUDA) in Hyderabad has decided to postpone their strike until Tuesday’s meeting with Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha. The health secretary and the Director of Medical Education called for a meeting with the junior doctors and senior resident doctors to discuss the delays in stipend payments. The health secretary promised to discuss the issue with the Health Minister and requested that the doctors give the new team a chance as they had just taken charge. JUDA president Dr. Kaushik Kumar stated that the Health Minister asked them to hold off on the strike and come to the office to discuss their issues. The doctors will be meeting with the Health Minister at 10 am at the secretariat today.
