He also emphasized the importance of increasing police presence at night during the summer to prevent crimes.

Crime Review Meeting and Pending Cases

The SP held a monthly crime review meeting at the district police headquarters. During the meeting, officials discussed pending cases, serious crimes, SC/ST cases, and court-contested cases. He urged police officers to improve conviction rates and speed up investigations.

Focus on Quick Case Resolution

SP Srinivasa Rao instructed officials to work closely with judicial authorities to resolve cases faster. He stressed that cases related to the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act, SC/ST cases, and other serious crimes should be investigated thoroughly and charge sheets should be filed within 60 days.

He also directed officers to follow a structured plan and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in every case. Additionally, he emphasized the need for quick resolution of cybercrime cases and proper documentation from registration to charge sheet submission.

Increased Night Patrolling for Summer

With the summer season approaching, the SP ordered officials to strengthen night patrolling to prevent thefts and other crimes. He also asked women police officers to conduct awareness programs in women’s colleges and participate in night patrols.

To curb illegal activities, enforcement teams were instructed to conduct daily vehicle checks, especially targeting goods vehicles that transport laborers illegally. He also emphasized imposing fines, seizing unauthorized vehicles, and conducting special vehicle-checking drives when necessary.

Crackdown on Illegal Activities

SP Srinivasa Rao directed officials to take strict action against illegal activities, including:

– Arresting individuals with pending warrants without delay.
– Strengthening night patrolling, inspecting lodges, and tracking habitual offenders.
– Registering cases against people consuming alcohol in public places.
– Resolving land disputes and minor assault cases through mutual agreements.
– Preventing illegal transportation of sand and Public Distribution System (PDS) rice by monitoring CCTV footage and repairing non-functional cameras immediately.

Meeting Attendees and Final Remarks

The crime review meeting was attended by Deputy SP Y. Mogilayya, CCS Inspector Nageshwar Reddy, and Circle Inspectors T. Srinu (Gadwal), Ravi Babu (Alampur), and Tata Babu (Shantinagar), along with all Sub-Inspectors from various police stations.
