Former Union minister and Telangana BJP election in-charge, Prakash Javadekar, stated that action against corruption in the Kaleswaram Lift Irrigation Project (KLIP) has started. He accused the BRS chief and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao of betraying the people of Telangana, who were promised water, funds, and jobs.
Javadekar alleged that there was widespread corruption in KLIP, even though the project received quick approval from the Centre due to its aim of providing water to 18 lakh acres in the State. He also pointed out that the State is burdened with a debt of Rs 5 lakh crore and that job appointments only happened within KCR’s family.
He assured that justice will be served for the losses suffered by the people under the KCR government. Javadekar criticized the government for harassing opposition parties by filing illegal cases against them. He mentioned that BJP leaders are arrested whenever KCR goes on a visit and vowed to take action against the anarchic rule of the government.
Javadekar further revealed that several leaders from other parties are planning to join the saffron party, with their official announcement scheduled for August 27.
