Hyderabad: Former MLA Jagga Reddy has accused the BRS (Bharat Rashtra Samithi) party of being a barrier to investment in the State. He praised the current Congress government for handling land issues properly in Vikarabad, unlike the earlier KCR-led regime, which he claims forced people out of their lands.
While speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Jagga Reddy, who is also the PCC (Pradesh Congress Committee) working president, criticized KCR and his son KTR. He said both leaders, who held power for nearly a decade, are struggling to accept that the Congress government is now attracting investment and helping the State grow.
Reddy questioned whether the BRS government ever considered the opinions of local people when establishing a Pharma company. He reminded everyone that under BRS rule, farmers were mistreated during land acquisitions. He also mentioned the hardships faced by the Mallanna Sagar oustees, whose lives were disrupted by the project.
Jagga Reddy assured that the Congress government has no intention of taking lands by force for any projects. He accused KTR of trying to damage the Congress government’s reputation while Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy is focused on fulfilling the promises made during the Assembly elections.
