Jagdish Reddy commends Konda Laxman for his compassion

Minister for Energy Jagdish Reddy paid tribute to Konda Laxman Bapuji, a respected humanitarian in Telangana. The tribute was part of Bapuji’s birth anniversary celebrations organized by the Padmashali Society in Suryapet. Reddy honored Bapuji by garlanding his portrait.

During his speech, Reddy praised Bapuji’s diverse life, recognizing him as an activist, democrat, champion of the oppressed, and a strong political leader. Reddy highlighted Bapuji’s unwavering commitment as a role model for the current generation. He also commended Bapuji’s lifelong dedication to protecting the rights of marginalized communities and strengthening cooperative sectors.

Reddy announced that the government has taken several initiatives to honor Konda Laxman Bapuji. These include naming the State Horticultural University after him and presenting awards in his name to talented handloom artists. The government is also planning to install a statue of Bapuji in Suryapet town, following a site inspection.

The event was attended by MP Badugula Lingaiah Yadav, Collector Venkatarao, Additional Collectors Priyanka and Venkat Reddy, District Library Chairman Nimmala Srinivas Goud, Municipal Chairman Annapurna, Vice Chairman Putta Kishore, ZPTC GD Bhiksham, BC Sangam Leaders, BRS State Secretary YV, and Padmasali Association district president Appam Srinivas, among others.
