GHMC recently demolished encroachments at the residence of former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party president, YS Jaganmohan Reddy. The residence, situated in Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, had a sentry post constructed on government land.
The demolition took place on Saturday, with GHMC officials stating that the illegal construction violated regulations. Many people have raised concerns about the timing of this action, which occurred two weeks after the TDP won the AP assembly elections.
Some argue that the demolition was carried out on the orders of AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Critics have pointed out that despite Revanth Reddy being in power for years, the illegal construction was only demolished after Chandrababu became the CM of AP, leading to speculation about the reasons behind the sudden enforcement.
