IYC stages protest against government, condemning Manipur violence and more

The Indian Youth Congress protested against the central government in New Delhi on Tuesday. They raised concerns about various issues, including the violence in Manipur, price hikes, and unemployment. Thousands of Indian Youth Congress leaders and workers gathered at Jantar Mantar with placards and slogans criticizing the government. To ensure security, a large police force was deployed at the scene.

The protest was led by Srinivas BV, the national president of the organization. Several Congress politicians, including Pawan Khera, Alka Lamba, and Supriya Shrinate, also participated in the demonstration. The protesters expressed their desire to protect Manipur from the ongoing violence under the BJP government. Shrinate emphasized that the truth cannot remain hidden for long and that Manipur’s voice will soon be heard in Parliament. It is important to note that more than 160 people have lost their lives in ethnic clashes in Manipur since May 3.
