ISRO Scientists Face Controversy over Alleged Salary Delays during Chandrayaan 3 Mission

0

Congress leader Digvijaya Singh claimed that ISRO scientists have not received their wages for 17 months. This statement came on the same day as the Chandrayaan 3 lunar landing attempt. Singh urged the Prime Minister to address the salary issue of ISRO scientists. However, the Government of India’s Press Information Bureau debunked this claim.

Singh acknowledged the hard work of ISRO scientists and wished them success. Despite this, news reports suggest that these scientists have not been paid for 17 months. Singh called on the Prime Minister to take notice of this matter.

In response, Amit Malviya, the head of the BJP IT cell, criticized Singh for spreading fake news. Malviya stated that Singh’s actions go against ISRO’s achievements and show the Congress party’s aversion to a strong India.

Entrepreneur and political analyst Tehseen Poonawalla also made similar claims on a podcast, saying that ISRO scientists hadn’t received their salaries for three months. Poonawalla urged the government to verify this issue.

However, the Government’s Press Information Bureau later refuted these claims, stating that ISRO scientists are paid on time.

Overall, while there were complaints from the Congress party regarding ISRO salaries, the government has clarified that the scientists are indeed receiving their wages.
