The Indian School of Business (ISB) has partnered with the Union Defence Ministry to offer a 50% tuition fee waiver to armed forces veterans or serving personnel who want to transition into civilian life. This decision was made to celebrate Armed Forces Flag Day. The fee waiver will be available for postgraduate and advanced management programs and will benefit 22 veterans each year.

Vijay Kumar Singh, the Secretary of the Department of Ex-Servicemen Welfare, expressed gratitude to ISB for recognizing the services of Armed Forces personnel. He mentioned that many Armed Forces personnel retire at a young age and have a strong desire to continue serving the country. The fee waiver will provide them with an opportunity to pursue high-quality education at ISB and contribute to a developed India by 2047.

He stated that the fee waiver is a token of appreciation for their sacrifices and provides them an opportunity to further their education. The armed forces instill values of discipline, leadership, and commitment, which are essential for any significant role. The scholarship initiative aims to make world-class education more accessible to those dedicated to serving the nation.

Professor Pillutla also mentioned that ISB is proud to have over 100 veterans among its alumni. They bring valuable insights and strengthen the alumni network. The Armed Forces Scholarship aligns with ISB’s vision of grooming future leaders for India and the world.
