The new steel bridge flyover in Hyderabad will open to the public on August 19. The government has decided to name the flyover after BRS leader Nayini Narasimha Reddy. This steel bridge is part of the Strategic Road Development Program (SRDP) and aims to address traffic congestion at RTC X Roads, Ashok Nagar, and VST.
The construction of the steel bridge, spanning 2.63 kilometers, is an engineering marvel and cost approximately Rs 450 crore. It extends from Indira Park to VST in Hyderabad. This development showcases the rapid infrastructural advancements in Hyderabad and the government’s commitment to ensuring smoother commutes for residents in these areas.
Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has directed that the bridge be named after Late Nayini Narsimha Reddy to recognize his dedicated service. Nayini, the first Home Minister of Telangana, made significant contributions to the state. He represented the Musheerabad Constituency as an MLA and led the VST workers union for decades, leaving a mark in both the political and social realms.
To commemorate Nayini’s extensive services as a leader and his pivotal role in the Telangana movement, the Municipal Administration Department will issue official orders regarding the naming of the bridge.
