The Government of India is planning to set up the Indian Institute of Creative Technology through a Public Private Partnership (PPP). Several regional centers will be established across the country, and one of these regional centers will be located in Hyderabad.

This announcement was made by Sanjay Jaju, the Secretary of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry, during the 16th edition of the India Game Developer Conference (IGDC). The conference was organized by the Game Developers Association of India and took place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC). The main campus of the Indian Institute of Creative Technology will be in Mumbai, and 48% of the funding will come from the government, while industry bodies like FICCI and CII will provide the rest.
