Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a jab at the Opposition alliance on Tuesday, emphasizing that the NDA (National Democratic Alliance) focuses on development. He stated that NDA members view appearances in a positive manner and that their only agenda is progress.

Modi highlighted the history of coalitions in India, stating that those formed with negativity have never been successful. He emphasized that no party is considered big or small within the NDA, as the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) gained majority in 2014 and 2019, leading to the formation of the NDA government.

The Prime Minister acknowledged the legacy of leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L K Advani, attributing the formation and development of the NDA to them. He thanked influential leaders such as Parkash Singh Badal, Balasaheb Thackeray, Ajit Singh, and Sharad Yadav for their contributions to shaping the NDA.

Modi praised the BJP-led NDA alliance as a well-established one that aims to promote national progress and fulfill regional aspirations. He made a promise to make India one of the top three economies in the world.

Reflecting on past alliances, Modi mentioned that in the 1990s, the Congress party formed alliances and government but ultimately harmed the country, leading to the breakup of those alliances. In contrast, the NDA was formed in 1998 with the intention of establishing a stable government. Over the course of nine years, the NDA has successfully changed the trajectory of the country and accelerated its development.

The Prime Minister concluded by mentioning that several suggestions were presented during the meeting, and BJP President Nadda and his team will carefully consider them and provide responses accordingly.
