Immediate Action Required to Combat Adulterated Taddy (Kallu) in Gadwal District

Gadwal: Munna Bhasha, the MIM district president, has made an urgent plea to protect the health of Gadwal’s people. He wants immediate action against the sale of adulterated Taddy (kallu), a local alcoholic drink. Speaking to the media, Bhasha stressed the need for a thorough investigation and strict punishment for those involved in this harmful practice. Recently, reports of kallu adulteration have been widespread in newspapers, causing alarm in the community.

Bhasha pointed out the serious health issues faced by consumers, especially laborers and daily wage workers who often drink kallu because it is affordable. Many of these individuals have become very sick, needing medical treatments they cannot afford. “The consumption of this adulterated kallu is turning our laborers and nali workers into hospital cases,” Bhasha said. He highlighted that the poorest, who work the hardest, are suffering the most.

He accused local officials of failing to enforce laws meant to protect public health, suggesting that corruption might be involved. Bhasha claimed that some authorities might be accepting bribes to ignore these illegal activities. “Everyone knows the extent of this issue in our constituency, yet those who should be acting against it are as passive as if they were dealing with lemon water,” he remarked. He expressed concern over the immediate health dangers and the long-term impact on the youth, who are becoming addicted to this toxic drink.

Bhasha criticized those responsible for prioritizing illegal profits over the well-being of the community. “We are destroying the health of our people and the future of our youth for the sake of illegal income,” he warned. He called on politicians and officials to take decisive action to control the sale of adulterated kallu and punish those involved in this illegal trade.

“The MIM party stands with the people in demanding that this poison be eradicated from our neighborhood,” he declared. He urged authorities to prioritize public health and not fall prey to bribes, warning that corruption will only bring misfortune to their families. Bhasha ended with a reminder to political leaders: “The public is watching. They will hold you accountable if you fail to act. It’s time to protect our community from this menace and ensure a healthier, safer future for all.”

Residents of Gadwal have resonated with Bhasha’s passionate call to action and now look to their leaders to address this urgent crisis and safeguard their health and future.
