On this day, citizens can raise concerns about various civic issues, such as illegal encroachments on ponds, canals, and parks, as well as other infrastructure and environmental problems. Senior HYDRA officials will be present at Buddha Bhavan to listen to and resolve complaints directly from the public.

HYDRA shared the news on social media, stating, “HYDRA will introduce a complaints day every Monday starting January 2025 to take up public issues.”

In addition to this initiative, the Telangana government has recently allocated Rs 50 crore to HYDRA for operational needs. This funding will be used for maintaining the agency’s office, purchasing new vehicles, and covering expenses related to demolition activities. The State’s budget has allocated a total of Rs 200 crore for HYDRA, with the initial Rs 50 crore already released.

HYDRA was established in July 2024 by Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy. Its primary goals include conserving government lakes, restoring ponds, protecting parks, and managing disaster-related activities within the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limits.
