Hyderabad's NIMS Hospital extension receives foundation stone from CM KCR

The Chief Minister of Telangana, K Chandrashekar Rao, laid the foundation stone for the expansion of the NIMS Hospital in Hyderabad. The new ‘Dashabdi Block’ will have 2,000 beds and will make the hospital one of the largest in India with 4,000 beds. The Health Minister, T Harish Rao, called it a historical day for the health sector in Telangana.

The expansion was announced as part of the Health Day celebrations under the decennial celebrations of Telangana State Formation. The upgrade is a testament to the foresight and vision of CM KCR towards Arogya Telangana for not just the healthy future of the current generation but also for generations to come.

Due to the programmes at NIMS Hospital and the visiting of VVIPs, Hyderabad city traffic police issued a traffic advisory. There would be moderate traffic congestion in Punjagutta from 10am to 3pm. Commuters are advised to avoid certain stretches and use alternate routes. Designated parking places are available at various locations around the hospital. In case of any emergency, kindly call the traffic help line 9010203626 for travel assistance.
