Telangana state Haj Committee chairman, Mohamed Saleem, along with Mufti Anwar Ahmed Quadri and other Haj Committee members, sent off the 37th batch of Haj pilgrims from Telangana on Monday.

The Yakutpura Assembly constituency, where 80% of voters are Muslim, has been a stronghold of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) party for several decades. The biggest rival party in this constituency is MBT (Majlis Bachao Tehreek), while BRS, INC, and BJP candidates are also contenders.
