Fraudulent activities are becoming increasingly common, with some individuals resorting to deceitful tactics to make easy money. Innocent people are often the targets of such scams.

The Madhapur Police cracked down on the scam, revealing the involvement of a woman named Jupudi Usha, a housewife from Gachibowli Telecom Nagar, and a driver, Tudumula Mallesh, from Shakepet Nala. The duo had teamed up to make quick money through fraudulent means.

Their method involved renting cars from different areas in the city and then selling them at low prices to two individuals from Karnataka, Sagar Patil and Jamane Anil Kumar, who were residing in Attapur. These cars were sold for as little as Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 3 lakh, allowing the gang to pocket a profit.

Police have observed a rise in similar scams across the city. In another case, someone rented a car from a rental owner in the BN Reddy Nagar area with the intent to sell it. The car owner, after realizing the fraud, approached the police for help. A case was registered, and the vehicle was eventually returned through legal proceedings, but the owner had to go through significant challenges to recover it.

Authorities have urged car rental businesses to remain vigilant and not trust renters blindly. They recommend thoroughly verifying the details of those renting vehicles to prevent such fraudulent incidents in the future.
